What we collect on this website
This website collects personal information to power site analytics, including information about your browser, network, and device, web pages you visited before coming to this site, your IP address, and details about how you use this site such as pages visited, clicks, and timestamps. We provide this information to Squarespace, our website analytics provider.

This website uses cookies and similar technologies that download to your device when you visit. These include necessary cookies required to serve the site securely, and analytics cookies used to understand site traffic and activity. You can manage your cookie preferences via the cookie banner on this site.

If you submit information via a form on this site, we collect the data you provide in order to respond to your enquiry. This information is stored through Squarespace.
Downloading WARELAB Mesh
Downloading the software does not require an account and collects no personal data beyond the site analytics described above.
Buying WARELAB Mesh
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record. They collect the information needed to take payment and issue an invoice — your name, email address, billing country and payment details. We never see or store your card details. We do receive your email address, which we use to issue your licence and to provide support.
Your licence
Your licence key is a signed file stored on your own computer. It contains the email address the licence was issued to, its edition, and its expiry date if it has one.
When you activate a licence online, the app sends an identifier for the computer you are activating on to Lemon Squeezy. It is made up of your computer's network name, its operating system, and a short code derived from its hardware family — for example DESKTOP-AB12 · win32 · 7f3a. This lets us tell your machines apart when a licence covers more than one, and lets support see which computer a licence is in use on. If your computer's name identifies you personally, that name is included; you can change your computer's name before activating if you would rather it did not.
If we issue a licence to you by hand — a replacement for a lost key, a complimentary or review copy — we keep a record of it so that we can re-issue it if you lose it. That record holds your email address, the edition and expiry, the date, the reason it was issued, and the key itself.
The launch check-in
When you launch WARELAB Mesh it sends a small, anonymous check-in to our server containing the application version, whether you are running Windows or macOS, a random identifier generated on your device the first time you run the app, and whether this is that first run. It does not include your name, your email address, or anything about the files you open. We use it to understand how many people use WARELAB Mesh, which versions are in use, and whether updates are reaching people.
While you are using the free trial, the check-in also includes a one-way, salted hash of a basic machine fingerprint — your computer's name and operating system. Its only purpose is to prevent an expired trial being restarted by reinstalling the app. It cannot be reversed to identify you or your device, we never receive or store the details it was made from, and it is no longer sent once you own a licence.
You can turn the check-in off completely at any time in Settings → Privacy ("Send anonymous usage statistics"). Turning it off stops everything described in this section, including the trial check.
Emails
If you buy WARELAB Mesh or start a trial, we add your email address to our mailing list so we can send you product updates and information relevant to the version you have. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. Our mailing list is operated by Brevo.
How long we keep it
The random install identifier from the launch check-in: 60 days from your last launch, then deleted automatically.
The trial fingerprint hash: 400 days, then deleted automatically.
Counts and totals (how many launches, downloads and installs per day): kept indefinitely. These are numbers only and contain no personal data.
Records of licences we issued by hand: kept for as long as we support the product, so that a lost key can be re-issued.
Purchase records: kept by Lemon Squeezy under their own policy, and by us for as long as UK tax law requires.

Squarespace hosts this website and provides its analytics — squarespace.com/privacy
Lemon Squeezy processes purchases as merchant of record — lemonsqueezy.com/privacy
Cloudflare hosts our licensing and update service and serves the software downloads. Their systems see the IP address of requests, which is used to keep the service available and to limit abuse — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Brevo operates our mailing list — brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy
Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts serve the typefaces on this website and may receive your IP address and browser information in order to do so.
Where your data is stored
Some of the providers above are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is done under the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email . We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
